Just got confirmation that both the K-r, K-5 and the DA 35mm f/2.4 are already in Singapore and being prepared for distribution. They will be tested no later than this Saturday.

Wow that packaging looks nice! The Pink camera is pretty cool too. I crave an upgrade, but it's not feasible given I bought a K-x last year.

My clients never dare look at some dark side part of the picture but at how their image was exposed and even happy with my pentax k-7 ISO 3200. so i suppose K-r ability to cleanly expose at ISO 3200 to 6400 is more than enough for another pentax body.

thanks for sharing these new k-r pics

Im pretty excited for the K5 right now seeing these. Looks like it's going to be a winner in ISO. I really hope AF is a huge step forward as well. It would be nice to see a dominant Pentax camera to boost the brand. The KX raised the bar for entry level lets see the K5 raise it for APS-C.

OK I just got word that my K-5 and everyone else who pre-ordered their K-5 or K-r in Singapore will be ready for collection tomorrow. Over the weekend there will be demo copies of the K-r and K-5 available for use for local Pentax users at our monthly Pentax user photo outing in Little India. Thank god for our stellar local agent because some who pre-ordered have already let go of their older Pentax DSLRs and are now camera-less. I for one have put behind my entire K-7 episode behind me... it's time to look forward to the K-5... Will post images from the K-5 later.

Yes, and with a better colorful bottle or an object internationally well known, so we can evaluate the colors, like a Coke bottle which a Burgerking label stick to it and a Johnny Walker bottle next to it. (No need for a blue label for your convenience ) . Or some other stuff.

I think its going to be great

could you elaborate on "outperforming" the d7k in many ways?
i'm considering the k5 but at today's prices ($1599), that's out of reach for me.

Thanks Denis, for sharing. I think one of these days I am going to need to up grade my K20 and keep the K7 as back up. Unfortunately, as others have said, the funds aren't there right now, so I can wait, but it is impressive the improvements, even from the Kx. With a little work, iso 6400 is definitely usable on the kr
