I honestly don't care if this is a gray market item if the only difference is that it is the exact same unit but meant for sale in another country. Still the same camera, still the same quality, and per my conversation with Pentax will still be warrantied in the U.S. as long as I have a dated receipt of purchase. Unless I'm missing something, wouldn't a "Canadian" K-r be just as good as an American one (maybe it would even come with a case of Labatt's).
There's no chance of "fake" K-r's out there, is there? I know there fake golf clubs, handbags, shoes, etc. everywhere in e-bay, but would think it would be extremely difficult to fake replicate the intricate workings of a DSLR especially this close to product launch especially with all the menus, software interface, etc.
I'm sure this is fine... posters on this board and the dpreview board seemed to have pretty positive things to say about hotdigital... which is the same thing as asavings.
