Blimey, that's £185. I would have bought two and I've already got one!

Wow you're really lucky! I'm in Berkeley and all the stores around me are out of stock

I too currently have Kx and wondering if it is worth it to upgrade to Kr
(guessing I will probably lose somewhere around $200 to trade up.)

For those who have used both I specifically was interested whether
the slightly larger LCD and more resolution helps in viewing a more
accurate image (if it is out of focus.)

I shot mostly still pictures but occasionally I experimented with
shooting video with shallow DOF so it needed precise manual
focusing. With the Kx, with my eyes at its current condition,
I found it a bit hard to find the good focus image.
It would be great if the higher resolution LCD (and slightly
larger size) makes a big difference.
I'm curious on this too.. I notice on the low-res screen of the K-x, occasionally shots with a manual focus lens will seem to be in focus. However, when viewed on the PC, I see they are not tack sharp as I thought..

Wondering if the higher res (and slightly larger) screen on the K-r has helped anyone in this situation..

I would say there was an improvement but I wouldn't honestly say it was massive.

Even though it's around 3x the resolution?

Unfortunately that would never interpret as appearing "3" time better. It is difficult to say but a definite improvement that you would notice. I haven't done any side by side comparisons as I traded up so it is a subjective opinion. Others may think it is more significant.
