Question ,possibly a stupid one ..

so,there it goes ....is it possible with the k-r to shoot pictures but also be connected to the computer at the same time ,so you can have a live view so to speak on what you're shooting ...let's say you have the camera on a tripod and you have the laptop beside ,can you have the two connected and also be able to shoot ? ...

i saw this at football matches that some photographers have beside them a laptop but i don't know exactly what are they doing on it or if it's actually connected to the camera .

so is it possible ? if not with the k-r maybe with other models ?

This is called tethering. And as far as I know, Pentax doesn't support it with any of their bodies. But there might be third party software, in which case I would be interested as well.

With PK_Tether it is possible to remote control all main parameters on computer via USB.

What doesn't work is Live-View, you have to do your framing by hand.

cheers,

The laptop at the football game is not for tethering . It's for transfering photo to the laptop and sending wifi to the newspaper or online service
