This is just silly, but whatever. I like X mode.

I have my EV steps set to 1/3, which is my preference. But that prevents me from reaching 1/180 for max flash sync. 1/125, 1/160, 1/1200, 1/250. If I change it to 1/2 steps, I can get 1/180, but is there no other way? Should I just use 1/160? I know it's only a, what, 1/6 stop difference? But still.

At least on the old K100D you dial in the next higher value, i.e. 1/200s, and then when you open the built-in flash it magically jumps to 1/180s.

I'm an idiot. I didn't even try mounting anything in the hotshoe. I bet when I do that, it won't let me go above 1/180 at all.

I've used K200D with YN 460-II manual flash mounted in hotshoe @ 1/200. I could take pictures but camera didn't sent fire signal to flash.

Yeah, once i got home, i tried it and it doesnt drop to 1/180 with a manual flash or transmitter. the flash will not fire at 1/200. Guess I'll be using 1/160.
