Padraigr, there was a link on the previous page to Snapsort.com:

Compare the Nikon D5000 vs Pentax K-r

Snapsort is a great resource when comparing cameras. But it's really just a surface comparison, and you really have to look a bit deeper.
I used to think snapsort was the bees knees until I started to look at how they calculate the total score.
Score - Canon EOS Rebel T2i vs Pentax K-x

In the above comparison, the Canon received one sixth of all its points on the basis of popularity. And popularity is defined as "which cameras users view, compare, and shop for most often". Hardly objective, eh?

Viewers of that site would be well advised to ignore the total scores, pay attention to some of the differences that are illuminated (this is the big benefit of the site), and also ask on forums like this.

P.S. the D5000 got some extra boost from popularity as well. Not as much, though.

Edit: Another fun comparison:
Fuji X100 vs Panasonic LX5

And only 90 lenses available for Pentax. Makes me LOL everytime.

I like this comparison better - Compare the Canon EOS Rebel T2i vs Pentax K-x

Pentax tips Canon in almost all areas where it really matters.
