I took this with my new K-r, I've had it for a couple of weeks now. Unfortunately my wife loaded them onto the Pc then deleted from the card so I've not much info.
It was taken with the lens that came as part of the twin pack, the DAL 50-200mm and on Auto as I'm getting to know the camera first!

I have cropped it slightly but no other changes.

Any comments welcome

I always enjoy this thread! It's a testament to the ease of use of the K-r that a person like me can pick it up and start taking pictures that are not too bad. Some of the examples in this thread are really amazing! It's hard to believe many of you are newbies.

How long before you aren't considered a "newbie"? I got my K-r in March. Should I still be posting in this thread?

Here are a few from the past few days that I like. Hope you like them.

Taken with 18-55 kit lens...

DA L 55-300mm-

DA L 55-300mm-

DA 35mm/f2.4-

Great thread, I check back often for inspiration. Here are a few of mine - I've modified them aesthetically a fair bit in Lightroom, but no sharpening or NR as far as I can remember.

The bird is @ 300mm with an FA 100-300 4.7-5.8 ($60 CAD second-hand... score!); the others are with the 18-55 DA-L @18mm and 35mm, respectively.

Nice job, K-rock! I especially like what you did with the color in the second one. Very cool!

I agree, I always feel like a newbie. I have yet to play with light painting - see, there is always something new to learn!
