Thank you so much!! I still can't believe I took it myself, it's all I could ever want in a picture of one of my horses; the K-r is definitely amazing! o.x

Here is my first try at taking a frozen shot of the dogs playing, F5.6 at 50mm and some PP with Lightroom 3, was saved as RAW in the camera. ISO was at 3200 but was in daylight, I think I left it on by mistake.
Excellent - especially for ISO3200. Did you use any noise removal?

Nope didn't use anything like that. The following was performed in Lightroom:

Enable Lens Profile: Adobe's Default for my lens
Point Curve: Strong Contrast
Exposure: +0.23 0.23
Exposure: -0.55 -0.32
Fill Light: +30 30
Contrast: +30 55
Contrast: -15 40
Exposure: +0.18 -0.14

As you can see i was playing with the settings a little bit trying to get the histogram looking better etc

Actually they're all with a ~10 year old sigma 28-200, the top couple with a +2 diopter on the end. It's got a new lease on life now, instead of being in a closet for the last decade.

And, thanks.

Philoslothical, they are all really nice, but I especially like the grass shot. Nice job! Looking forward to seeing more.

Hey guys. I've had my K-r for 3 days now, and while I'm finding the learning curve quite a bit to adapt to (first DSLR), here are a few of my favourites so far.

I've been watching this thread for awhile, love all the pics, and it feels nice to be able to finally add something.

I've been using the grass and iris ones as wallpaper to nice effect, so if anyone wants the 1920px versions I'll post 'em up.
Hi.

Same flowers, different continent:

But no duck...

Thank you. It's not so much me taking good pictures, it's more about a great camera (K-r), great old lenses (Elicar 90), summer light, and beautiful flowers...
