@ soot_and_stars - Beautiful, I love everything about it. What is the subject, water droplets on string or something? I almost don't want to know; as an abstract composition it's perfect.

Ah yes, so it is. Did you process the image much? Either way, it's absolutely brilliant and thanks for posting it.

not too much noise considering the high iso.i'm assuming it was quite dark in the room as you had a long exposure also.did you use a tripod?

i found the 18-55mm kit lens hard work indoors due to small aperture.

yes, i took this photo in low light, and i don't have a tripod... i had a good position and managed to handle 1/4s handheld not every time my photos are sharp at 1/4

Yes! must use higher ISO or long exposure, but.. lenses are a expensive "sport".. one stop or two costs a lot...at this time, i'd prefer to use a higher iso rather than spending 250-300 euros for some fast lens.

I'm playing a bit tonight trying to save a few shots I underexposed (bad habit) and I'm kind of liking this one, so I thought I'd share.

This is what happens when you combine a wet guinea-pig, a K-r with 18-55mm kit lens and an AF-200T gun bought off Ebay for 99 pence (with DIY milk bottle diffuser)
