I humbly apologize. My APO does rotate as well - just double checked. Was thinking of another lens. Duh!!

Try this contact at Sigma - they are very helpful.

This is who contacted me regarding using my pics for the lens advertising.

Apologise for what? It's so easy to not notice an action if it doesn't affect or impose on your needs.

Thanks for clearing that up anyway, and for the contact.

Now that's interesting... and to save me thinking would anyone like to explain how those 7 blades would possibly create a total 14 starburst tails off the sun?

I always thought it generally worked out to be 1:1. ??

I've had my K-r with 18-55 and 55-300 kit lenses for about 3 weeks and this is my first DSLR camera. Here are a couple of photos I took this past week on a trip to AZ for a few days. Each taken with the 55-300mm lens, hand-held, using Av mode and all at 300mm, f5.8 except the last photo. ISO was 800 for first 2 photos, and 400 for the remaining photos. The last photo was taken with the Raynox-150 added to the 55-300mm lens set at 70mm and f5.6. No PP has been applied to any of these - they are all straight out of the camera without no cropping or other adjustments.

Those are awesome pics!! I can't wait to get mine!

first taken with the 35mm 2.8 macro lens (F2.8, ISO 200, 1/160s), the other two with the 50-200 (F8, ISO 100 and 20s exposure).

That 2nd photo looks really nice, doozer. Well seen. Something strange blue color at the bottom?

Thanks e-bar! The 2nd and 3rd pictures were taken at an illuminated waterfall (the Rheinfall Schaffhausen in Switzerland). So there was a mixture of white, blue and purple light which lead to these strange reflections.

Evening portrait

Just got my K-r last weekend, and unfortunately the weather has not been very conducive to shooting.

Thankfully got to try out some outdoor shots and managed to coax my normally camera shy subject to sit down and pose in the park.

35mm handheld at f2.4, minimal playing with levels in LR3.
