This is nothing special. Just noticed that the thread has quietened down a tad! Winter here over in KiwiLand, though the sun shines most days. This was shot with a Takumar 135mm @ 3.5

Cheers Freddy and Julie...I sold my 55mm 1.8 Tak and kind of regret doing it now. I'm left with a 50mm/1.4, 135mm/3.5 and a 200mm/4 which should see me right..Picked up a SMC M 100/4 macro which is a good lens..Otherwise, that's it...Maybe one day I'll push the boat out and buy something other than a manual....All the best from NZ!

I'll take a shot

I'm about a year into digital photography and have a long way to go. The pictures are my mother's furless cat and some family shots I took last week on my vacation. The watermark is from my light room for my business. Thank you guys. Any advice or feedback would be appreciated

The K-r and the 16-45 make a good, relatively inexpensive combo.......Medicine Bow Peak at Sunrise, southeastern Wyoming:

I've had my K-r with 18-55 and 55-300 kit lenses for about 3 weeks and this is my first DSLR camera. Here are a couple of photos I took this past week on a trip to AZ for a few days. Each taken with the 55-300mm lens, hand-held, using Av mode and all at 300mm, f5.8 except the last photo. ISO was 800 for first 2 photos, and 400 for the remaining photos. The last photo was taken with the Raynox-150 added to the 55-300mm lens set at 70mm and f5.6. No PP has been applied to any of these - they are all straight out of the camera without no cropping or other adjustments.

Great pictures and thanks for providing the details of the shots.

Wow that Kr makes the 18-55 look really good. You don't look like you need much help, judging by the company you keep, and your excellent shots. Cool cat.
I unloaded my old DA18-55 3 years ago. I didn't know it was capable of such amazing shots. Regards, Freddy

I would recommend that you try looking at those with lower colour saturation. If you prefer them highly saturated, fine, but to me they look a little too saturated, particularly the greens. Is your monitor colour calibrated? If not try to find a means of getting that done. It can be a difficult task to find the right balance between giving the colour some "pop" and overdoing it, so it's no big deal to get it wrong, or for two people to have different views on where that balance should be. If your monitor is colour calibrated and you're happy with the saturation after looking at them a little toned down then of course it's just that you and I have different tastes.

Yes, Fire Angel, you're right. The shots are a bit over saturated. There might be an adjustment in the kr to lower saturation slightly, unless you're post processing higher saturation because you like it that way. Just MHO. Freddy
