Yes, Fire Angel, you're right. The shots are a bit over saturated. There might be an adjustment in the kr to lower saturation slightly, unless you're post processing higher saturation because you like it that way. Just MHO. Freddy
I also forgot to mention that they are good photos! One possible fault, but still good shots.

I have seen so many posts here where people want the sharpest lens possible .... the Argus is hardly what I would call a sharp lens. And yet when this lens was in production it seemed every photo magazine I picked up had an article extolling soft lens with suggestions on ways to reduce the sharpness of your own supposedly inferior lens. The bokeh in your shots is fabulous.

Thanks,Jim .Am still playing around with the ev +/- for this lens. Bokeh is the reason i got this lens instead of super tak 55 1.8 which is $30 cheaper. The argus is $100,bought it in Japan but am still curious about the super tak. Might get one for comparison.

1st pic, ev +1.7 f2 1/125 iso100

2nd pic, ev+2 f5.6 1/13 iso100

Instead of using EV, have you considered just moving over to full manual exposure control? In this situation you just set your aperture and adjust your shutter looking at the meter to determine your own over/under based on your impression of the subject. The histogram is another tool that will help a lot in this regard - OR use the exposure bracketing feature and let the camera automatically shoot a series.

Another tip if you are not already doing so, is to shoot RAW (or RAW+) and tweak in post processing - For your sample images, you can boost the mid-tones a little along with the saturation.

Thank u for your kind advise and tips.I am so use to shoot in AV mode that i kinda shy away from M mode.

Guess i need to explore more and learn full manual control since i am using manual lenses.Even when am using auto lenses,i shoot in AV or TV mode.

.Again thank u for making me realise the art of photography and having fun doing it.

The third one of those is particularly appealing to me, it's something about the colour and bokeh of the background.
