Wow... more people are joining this thread with amazing pictures. We are truly proud owners of K-r.

An early picture after I had my K-r on January on a trip to Singapore.

Edit: After a while, I think some part of the Merlion statue (especially at the bottom) is a bit over exposure.

Thank you Ajaya. And thanks to you, Loco.

I'm still catching up a lot of things.

Top shot!
I reckon Singapore must be the best place for night photos - so many bright clean colours. Last time I was there we took a trip to the "seedier" regions of Singapore. Not as colourful with regard to sights but lots of "other" colour.

Thank you very much Bill.

Wow, it's always fun to find the other color. It was my first time in Singapore, so I had no time to explore more. Well, the only place that I think had different color was China Town.

I always enjoy this thread! It's a testament to the ease of use of the K-r that a person like me can pick it up and start taking pictures that are not too bad. Some of the examples in this thread are really amazing! It's hard to believe many of you are newbies.

How long before you aren't considered a "newbie"? I got my K-r in March. Should I still be posting in this thread?

Here are a few from the past few days that I like. Hope you like them.

Taken with 18-55 kit lens...

DA L 55-300mm-

DA L 55-300mm-

DA 35mm/f2.4-

Can I just congratulate you first. I followed your Flickr album and have to say that many of your shots are simply fantastic.

You have obviously plenty of experience with the K-R and have made a great contribution here can I possibly ask you what you think about the camera, the lenses you have etc.. I would be grateful for pluses as well as minuses if there are any. Many thanks in advance

I very much appreciate the compliments! Thank you. This thread has been inspirational for me, just seeing what people can do with this camera.

I'll send you a PM so as not to take the thread too far off topic.

This is way beyond a newbie. Amazing captures. Mostly, my favorite is the second one. I love the the view and the color. The pro style...

CMIIW, are you using DA15 hellfire? If yes, damn I envy you, for it's my dream lens . If not, damn I envy your skill...

hi thanks for the comments, most of the credit goes to the good lighting. both were shot with the DAL 18-55mm kit lens at 18mm. the first was 2 shots stitched together in Ptgui and the second shot was 3 shots stitched together in Ptgui.

Here is my first try at taking a frozen shot of the dogs playing, F5.6 at 50mm and some PP with Lightroom 3, was saved as RAW in the camera. ISO was at 3200 but was in daylight, I think I left it on by mistake.
