I got my K-R back in October after waiting 3 years to decide on which DSLR to buy. Let's just say that I have not regretted my decision not even once. I am one very happy Pentaxian and I knew I would be These are some pics that I've taken over the past few months.


Just a few everyday snapshots:

Taken with my 18-55mm kit lens


Taken with my 55-200 lens with just some minor color adjustments for the colored images and the high contrast black and white ones were shot that way in custom image with monochrome mode








Taken with my 50mm F2 manual focus lens with some minor color adjustments at ISO 1600 or higher. I feel like these could have been sharper but I wasn't entirely sure if they were in focus or not while shooting even though the camera said they were.

These were taken on my 55-200 kit lens, most in Aperture Priority mode.

Just getting into photography, have always liked taking photos but never really had a proper camera. Bought my K-R last week, this is one of my favourites so far ! I edited it in GIMP, made black and white then layered through the colour on the ladybirds. Taken with my K-R + Kit lens 18-55mm.

cbeeching That's just wonderful (: I bet if you do one of those "vintage" effects that I see on deviantart/tumbler all the time, that'll be even more lovely, and I can imagine it being turned around/flipped (So the beetles will look like a heart) and being cropped more, so the emphasis would be towards the middle where the action is. (beetles making out hahaha)

These last ones by Loveless and the rest are absolutely amazing. It's funny, but I REALLY LIKE that car photo, Loveless. It simply shines. I think you could have easily sold that to a car publication.

All of these recent photos are absolutely great. Would love to know the exif data on ALL of them.

Hehe, I read back my post and it sounds as though I'm asking you if the photos are yours (which I didn't mean of course as they obviously are!!) Sorry if it read that way, I meant the car

Thanks! I guess it could be cropped to emphasise, I made it that width to fit nicely on my facebook cover picture - got a nice camera just in time for that feature didn't I !!

How do you mean 'vintage' effect exactly, do you have an example you could link?
