Hi,
I adore the two kitty shots! What a beautiful cat! The second one looks a bit soft to me, possibly because your shutter speed was 1/2 second. Were you shooting hand held? However, they are both still lovely images and I like how you got on the cat's level to take them!

Sorry I couldn't resist. I was bored last night so I played with PkTether. Kr mounted on tripod, 5 second exposure. The large bag of M&M's was just sitting on the table and I couldn't resist the temptation of photographing it.

Just Sharing..

I used Lightroom and Topaz Adjust 5 for post processing.

Pentax KR

smc PENTAX-DA L 18-55mmF3.5-5.6A 1/250sec F8.0

Just wonder how to prevent Topaz Software on stripping EXIF info. Any thoughts are appreciated.

Here are some Kr shots taken last summer at the Sterling, NY Renaissance Festival. I really was impressed how the Kr handled all the shadows, and bright sun. The Festival is played out in a wooded area so shooting is difficult. All were shot in Jpeg processed lightly and cropped. Also some from an impromptu Auto Show the Model T Truck was shot at ISO 3200 the photo was cropped and text added, no external noise reduction or WB adjustment. All photos were shot with the Pentax 18-250mm Lens.

Awesome photos

These photos are ALL stunning. I think the k-r is a camera that should be kept on the market. I know that Costco in the US is selling them via online. I hate to see such a great camera moved off to the side and retired.

Wood Ducks in Flight

Here is my first nature action shot. I grabbed my camera and had no time to think. It was shot through my back door as they took flight. This was the result:

ccd333 Awesome. I like the second one the most.
geru2000 Awesome set. I kinda miss my K-r now... I'm not able to pump out 3200 iso on my K7 and get that much image out of it.
racingsnake Nice, is it the 28 2.8? that guys is next on my list.
bigted What ISO did you use there? I can see so much grain.
Kookaaq I love the film look. What kind of post processing did you do there?
theflyingjocksman Awesome set bro! I like how the rhino pops out of the screen.
