Trap focus

I don't use MF lenses very often, but when I did on my K10D, I liked the trap focus capability. Is that gone on the K-r?

The "Catch-in-focus" CF doesn't seem to make a difference, nor does the AF setting. I'm using a Nikon lens, that shouldn't matter, right?

With K mount lenses it works when you set "cat-in-focus" and turn ON AF on the camera body. With M42 manual lenses in addition you have to short the top 2 or 3 electrical contacts on the body. This is because they do not have enough wide flange else the body of the lens itself would have shorted those contacts.

In case of your Nikkon lens, see if those contacts are touched by the (metallic) body of the lens else try shorting them. I believe that will work.
