Just to briefly help qualify my experiences, and give you insight into the addiction, with film I loved using a 70-210 for long reach. Digital went down this road:
DA 50-200>Tamron 100-300=Pentax 100-300<Sigma 28-300<DA 18-250

My brother in law has the Tamron 70-300 Di. I have seen his images and used it once. It's purple fringing in many images is disappointing but 1:2 macro is good. The Sigma 28-300 has less image impurities than the Tamron, focuses closer but has 1:3 macro. I like the Sigma DG 28-300 better than the Tamron Di 70-300. I have not used the DA 55-300.

Well another thought is a Sigma 28-300 DG. Just a little wider. You might find one new on discounted close out at a Ritz nearest you for under $200. A few have appeared on The Marketplace as well. They are around $300 new at places like B&H and Adorama. I am glad I did not pay full price for the one I bought but I think it is a capable alternative to the DA 50-300.
However, if both lenses are $200 new and neither came with lens hood... Well I would have a tough choice knowing what I now know and guessing properties like you may be at the moment.
Oh I like the Sigma 28-300! its a little wider as you said... but Im wonder about IQ now... and only $199.00 on Amazon!

does anyone know if sigma 28-300 will quick shift focus?

Normally I say, "If you have to ask, then the answer is no."
It is useful but again only you can place a value on it. I borrowed my cousin's DA*50-135 which has the quick shift and liked it very much. That lens is pure joy. Just not the kind of money I would spend on a lens like that.
If you can get the Sigma at Amazon for $200 and it comes with a lens hood or you can get the DA L at Adorama for $212 then this does make the choice a little more interesting.
I think the DA L might have a little better image quality than the Sigma. For me the differences were the Sigma has a little wider field of view, you can get closer to the subject at minimum focus and just a slight edge in "macro" magnification. And at the time there was a greater difference in price. So I choose the Sigma.
The Sigma is a little less sharp at full extension and the lock mechanism is poor but overall I think I can recommend the lens
