No, I don't think you can set it to a specific WB, at least I don't know how to.
Pg 202 in your instruction manual - full instructions on how to manually adjust your white balance.

Thank you, it does not mention any way of setting a specific AF micro adjust to a specific WB setting. I guess you have to do it manually every time.

any news on a firmware update or is Pentax just going to ignore their customers again? I am now ready to pull the trigger but not a chance w/o a fix for the FF issue.

I dunno man, I would almost suggest waiting for next years model at this point. It's a little irritating, but for the most part it does effect me.

This is THE most pathetic customer treatment from a global company I've ever come across. Enough for me - I've gone for a Nikon. FF as well, but with a completely different meaning.
Will keep some of my Pentax gear for a while though - as a smaller system and to see where they end up.

My wife and I both shoot Pentax and the only two things keeping me with Pentax ate the Sigma 10-20 and Bigma as these would be too much to replace along with new bodies

I guess I'll wait for the new bodies because I bought a k-5 that had stains and FF and returned it for a refund and don't want to reward Pentax with the purchase of a 1300 body because they won't work the bugs out of their $500 body.

If the assist beams helps minimizing this issue, then a firmware fix can let this light up earlier or manually (have a setting always turn on).

Of course it does not help much if the target is too far away, but still better than nothing.

Another option is we all send our units to Japan anyway......
Is it true that Pentax did not publish a single FW update for any of its cameras since the Earthquake (or since the FW update for the K-5)? Looking at the number of current camera models sold on the market by Pentax, this is quite interesting. May be they postponed any FW update for some reason we do not know?
