have you tried the 35 at night, I bought one and refunded it, the AF doesn't focus well with it for landscapes or street views ? blurry
same experience ?
?? Did you miss the post 2 above yours? Both of those shots were at night; the second one was at night, through a dirty window with very limited light inside the place, focused fine for me...

You should get both. I would argue that out of the budget friendly manual focus pentax 50mms, the A 1.7 is the best. Well I guess the 50mm 1.2 is pretty awesome but I would not consider that gorilla budget friendly.

I got my 50mm 1.7 for $40 off kijiji (local classifieds) with a superprogram, vivitar flash, tak 70-200, really dirty camera bag, and some filters.

Hit the local classifieds and pawn shops and you will find a 50mm for a steal. It will take some hunting but I guarantee you will find one.

I think Adorama sells the 35mm on Ebay for ~$180.

These prices for the DA 35 2.8 from the US (even on ebay) are heaps cheaper than those coming out of Taiwan on ebay. You can't go wrong.
