K-R battery on Amazon

I see there is a battery available for my K-R sold through Amazon fulfilled by WOWparts;

priced at $12.88. (???)

Is this a good thing?

It says it's from Pentax but I can not "pull this trigger". I am a little leery of the quality even though it states it's from Pentax.

Any opinions?

BTW...my first post here...so have mercy.

If it's for Pentax, it'll have a lot less power than the oem battery, but if it's made by Pentax, then it should be just fine. The low price hints at the former, however.

and im very happy with it. havent done any tests to see any sort of comparison in capacity, but i've yet to notice anything.

I would generally agree with this from other experiences, but I found it not to be true in my situation for this camera. I bought a non oem version on Ebay and it is just as powerful and lasts just as long. I couldn't tell you if it's just an anomaly, but I just thought it was worth mentioning. To me, it was worth the price savings to take a chance, and I got much more than I expected.

Does anyone have experiences with Polaroid batteries? I found this one and it's pretty cheap... Or what about this GTMax?
