Quick query - red turns to blue

Just bought my K-r with dual lens kit and am giving it a bit of a work out today.
However I am finding that everything I capture coloured red turns to blue when I pull the pictures up on the computers.

Now I haven't altered the default settings except someone suggesting I try setting the contrast, hue , sharpness etc but it makes no difference so I have set them back to the middle default settings. Any ideas on whats wrong or is it something I haven't done at first switch on etc.

Any help would be most appreciated as I cannot wait to use it and my grandson's birthday is coming up in a few days time so want it working ok by then.

G'day.
What program are you using on the computer?
Are you shooting in RAW? If so, you might want to start off just shooting in JPEG.
JPEG images should come out just the way you see it on the rear LCD on your camera.
Don't alter hue at this stage until you know what exactly you want in your images.
Sharpness and contrast can go up one or two notches, and I'd suggest using default settings on everything apart from a 'Bright' custom image profile.

If your problem persists, please post an example of this issue and we'll see how to troubleshoot this one.

Maybe reset everything to default. You might have something changed accidentally or it was changed before you got it.

How are moving the images to the computer, could the program you are using be doing the deed, try a card reader and windows explorer with no other programs and view the image in windows photo viewer

If you're shooting in PEF raw mode, try DNG. The first PEFs I processed were color-shifted as well.

Ok

Went to the dealer yesterday after resetting to default and he showed me the
?e-dial knob which changes the hues colours etc.

Now I think coming back to digital from a long break and also to a DSLR model I think I have moved tis knob perhaps thinking it might have been the viewfinder correction feature.

I have a lot of reading and catching up to haven't I???????

Anyway thank you all so much for your time, trouble, and most of all patience with an old fella who should know better than to just go jumping straight in (without float aids LOLzzzzzzz!!)
Regards to you all
John
