happiest day of my life, hands down...

... so far.

My dad got me my K-r!

If I could, I'd be doing backflips and all sorts!

Why does the battery take so long to charge?!

I firmly believe that having to wait for the battery to charge is a manufactures last way to build anticipation in the buyer.

Congratulations on your new best friend.

Because the manufacturer wants you to spend that time reading the manual!

Congrats - a great little camera.

The K-x was great because it shipped with a set of Lithium batteries.

You are supposed to read the pdf while waiting for the camera to arrive.

Thanks for all the replies :')

It's hard for me to admit that I just spent 20 minutes making sure I attatched the strap perfectly.

And, I am reading the manual... it's really long and should while away the time nicely.

Pentax has some of the better camera manuals out there in my opinion.

Congrats on the new camera. You're going to enjoy it.

Hahaha, this is exactly what I did while I was waiting for mine to charge for the first time!

Congrats on the new K-r!! I just got mine fairly recently, felt like a kid on Christmas! Sounds like you're having fun already.

Congrats on the new K-r! It's my constant companion on weekends, and even some week days. Enjoy it and take lots of pictures. It's the only way to learn!

Thank you! Coming from a stupid Fuji Bridge, my favourite thing about my K-r is no shutter lag

I usually take pictures without thinking, LOL XD

Congrats on the new camera! I also picked up a K-r recently as an upgrade to my Pentax K100D Super and it's an amazing camera I have to say.
