Good news for K-r user !

Apparently Pentax just decided to release some more color options for K-r in UK today

Pentax K-r now available in 5 colours | News | PhotoRadar

That's not the exciting news at all. According to dcfever.com, a major camera forum (a pretty reliable source) in Hong Kong, they received a rumor today that Pentax is actually offering the existing K-r user the option to send the camera back for a color change on the camera body grip (white, pink, black, orange, yellow, red, blue, aqua and chocolate). The "face-lift" would cost approximately $50 USD for each service. (Of course, i believe this is for the local user...)

Pentax ? K-r ?????? - DCFever.com

I have fought a long battle to get my Orange K-x with blue grip from Japan to US last year and i understand how long it took the US Pentax to release to color option to K-x, this is surely a great new !

I'd be more excited about a firmware notice.

After this colorful news I now see where their priorities are...

I'm guessing by the time a new replacement entry model will be introduced
a firmware fix for existing front-focussing K-r owners will have never come...

Michel

Fed up with my K-r (FF), back to my 'old' dependable K-x.

Seems like Pentax are doing an excellent job painting their dslr but not on their QC side and lens development, read a lot of post that ppl are fed up with their QC recently K-5 stained sensor, K-r FF issue, DA 16-50 SDM failure, etc. The Pentax that i know long time before never has these kind of issues........

I am still wait my answer from pentax for a DA* 70-200 and hopefully they dont have any SDM issue when they are out..........lol
