Video into Final Cut Express 4

I would like to import two rather large AVI movie files into FCX & not have to render them again.

I have Mpeg Streamclip and wondering what codec should I use.

found my solution on the apple discussion forums, apple intermediate codec with fps @ 25 uncompressed audio @ 48 mhz.
