Will this 50mm f1.4 lense work with the K-r?

Sigma 50mm f/1.4 EX DG HSM Lens for Nikon Digital SLR Cameras

Technical Details
  • Focal length: 50mm
  • Maximum aperture: f/1.4
  • Lens construction: 8 elements in 6 groups
  • Angle of view: 46.8 degrees
  • Diaphragm blades: 9
  • Minimum aperture: f/16
  • Minimum focusing distance: 17.7 inches
  • Macro magnification ratio: 1:7.4
  • Filter diameter: 77mm
  • AF mount: Nikon
  • Dimensions: 3.3 inches in diameter and 2.7 inches long
  • Weight: 17.8 ounces
  • Warranty: 1 year parts and labor

I know that a lot of Nikon filters work due to teh 52mm threading, but will this?
More importantly, will the AF work?
Or does anyone recommend a better 50mm f1.4 lens for under $400?

TIA!

NOPE ! But I believe they do produce the same lens in pentax mount . If you want AF the F and FA series pentax 50/1.4 lenses can be had used for around $200-250 maybe less if you watch carefully.

If you want to make it a manual focus 62mm f/2, yes you can use it.

New, in Pentax mount that lens is about $480-500.

A new Pentax FA 50/1.4 is about $360, $100 less used.

I might be wrong, but shouldn't the Sigma lens support HSM autofocus on the K-r? It's a newer lens, after all!
