Really? Huh. I guess I haven't followed the K-r versus the world closely enough. A quick search on Amazon shows the K-r, D3100 & 1100D priced within 10% of each other, so it makes sense that they are competitors. The D5100 is nearly $200 more.

it just mean that the Big two are overpriced and Pentax is a big bang for the bucks
