Incadescent and tungsten front focus: how much autofocus fine adjustment?

How much microadjust do you use for these lighting conditions without changing WB?

Hi,

I am an amateur photograph and I am not sure about the impact of my own capabilities on wrong focus. My personal feeling is that the FF is less relevant with the latest firmware, even though nothing was mentioned by Pentax in this regard. However, the FF is still present.

I do not fine adjust, neither do I change the WB. Especially with a wide aperture I tend to do at least two shots, where one of them focuses a bit "behind" the object. In other words, I play with the focus a bit. This usually brings up fine results.

Cheers,

Eriol

This didn't work with the K-r when I had it. I was blown away with this realization.

Are you saying that if you manually WB there is no longer FF in Tungsten?

It's a known problem that the AF sensor is affected by the light temperature and wavelength. That's why the K-5 has a color sensor. Focus-overriding is fine in some occasions, but not all.

Weird thing I found recently is "tungsten" WB made no difference on my camera, but "shade" seemed to help.

Exactly.

I Don't understand how a photographer's approach to artificial light can be different.

If you think as a photographer should you will be close to what Pentax was thinking.
