Those lenses would work, but I'm not sure how interesting any of them would be (with the exception of the M 135mm maybe).

Pentax-M 135mm F3.5 Reviews - M Prime Lenses - Pentax Lens Reviews & Lens Database
Tamron Adaptall-2 SP 17mm f/3.5 (51B) Lens Reviews - Tamron Adaptall Lenses - Pentax Lens Review Database
Tamron Adaptall-2 28-70mm F/3.5-4.5 (44A) Lens Reviews - Tamron Adaptall Lenses - Pentax Lens Review Database

They would only work in manual mode, which requires a few extra steps: https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/pentax-lens-articles/110657-how-use-meter...k-x-k-7-a.html

My K-r is only coming with the basic lens so u think only the 135mm would be helpful to me. I have not shot pics since college with a K1000 so since this is my first DSLR i really want all the advantages I can get to explore. Why do you think the others would not be specifically useful?

If you don't mind splitting up the set you could probably make a nice profit selling what you don't want. Especially if he has the Auto adapters for the Tamron Adaptalls. The Tamron 17 alone should pay for the whole setup if it's in good shape.

The 17,135 and the 500 would be usable if you like shooting manual mode.

It looks like there are a few versions of it. You should be able to get at least 100, but someone listed that they paid 350(perhaps he was on crack) for it. It's a pretty rare lens so hard to price. Basically you look on ebay for completed auctions to see what people paid and look here at the price histogram to see what others have paid.

Check out Adam's links, they are comprehensive. They show you how to use manual lenses on your camera and he also linked to reviews of most of the lenses you'll be purchasing. Manual focus is no trouble with Pentax cameras. You will get a focus confirmation in the viewfinder or you can use the live view, so no trouble.

I think it's a bargain if you are willing to sell what you don't want. Selling stuff can be a bit of work.

Check the lenses carefully. If they don't have any fungus and all the controls work smoothly then it's a deal. Also make sure that the aperture blades are oil free, and there is no haze on the elements.
