It arrived yesterday and I have spent much time trying to learn the K-r. If I shoot a video indoors, the aperture value turns red and the video is dark. Sometimes even selecting the largest aperture does not make the value turn from red to white on the display. Is there a way to adjust sensitivity for video? Can video be shot in very low light, such as outdoors at night?

I'm using the 18-55 kit lens that came with it.

Which focal range? At the wide end, it's F3.5, which probably should be enough to get an indoor video shoot (unless you don't have overhead lights on or something).

With regards to the sensitivity controls, I haven't found it on my k-x (only aperture control), so I'm not sure how to answer that.

I've hardly used the video mode of my K-r, but I'll point you towards a couple possible settings. Reviews state that ISO is set automatically, if that doesn't seem to be happening, perhaps you have to have ISO set to a range rather than a fixed value before shooting? Also, you can use EV compensation while shooting video, that should help some.
