Problem with Kr & M135

In last few days I have problem when I shoot with M135 lens. My camera suddenly snaps like I take the shoot, and from that time it snaps on every button that I press.
I can't tajke any shoot. Sometimes I need to turn it off, remove battery, remove and put lens back on to start shooting again.

This thread is about a similar sounding problem with the K-5, it might have some information of value to you. Also, try searching the k-r forum for "mirror flop" and see what comes up.

Sounds like improper contact between the lens and body. This thread is about my experience with the issue, and how I solved it.

The best solution without strange modification.
Buy the AAs holder generic or original. I have the first.
Since I use this, never have the problem again. I think its a non compatibility between original lithium battery(voltage), focal lens, and metering.

I made my "insulator" but it doesn't help me.
With 18-55 kit lens and Auto Chinon 50mm/1.9 is OK, but Pentax M135/3.5 is giving me problem.

Sometime works fine with M135 for several hours, but sometimes it's crazy.

Very strange that it would continue to do that without any electrical contact. Sorry, I'm out of ideas on that one.

When this start to happen I remove M135 and camera acts the same even without lens on it.
Then I put AutoChinon F50 lens on (all that when camera is ON) and after two shoots everything is OK.

I thing there is some short circuit, no circuit or something similar happening in that point... I don't know and I'm crazy!

Everything is fixed with AA holder... Thanx Wax.
Working perfect, metering with old lenses perfect.

I don't use standard battery any more. It's a backup battery (after 3 sets of AA) in pocket
