I have read help forums and you tubed videos and read some more, and can't seem to find out how to do it. What camera do you have? This will help us direct you.

Also, if you can post an example image, we might be able to provide a few useful pointers.

Cheers,
Jon

If you have a K-x, or K-r, you first have to enable the expanded ISO range custom function because being able to access ISO 100.

If you have a K-r, start with the memo block on page 99 in the (english) manual; for the K-x, page 91. I don't think that older generations have the option, but not sure (too lazy to go through those manuals )

Hint: download the electronic version of your manual from Operation Manuals Download : Support & Service : PENTAX ; you can easily search for keywords like ISO that way

Pentax K-r - Review- PentaxForums.com
read the review on link above it will tell you how to enable 100 ISO
check recomended settings even shows a picture on how to

Recommended Settings

With the seemingly limitless combinations and personalization of the K-r possible, it's difficult to recommend settings, as shooting styles can be highly personal. There are, however, a few settings that are recommended. First, to take advantage of all the K-r offers in terms of it's great low-light capabilities, in page 1 of the custom menu, option 3 is Expanded Sensitivity. Change this to choice 2:Expanded Sensativy On. This will enable ISO sensitivity from 100 to 25600. When this is on 1: Off, the ISO range is limited to 200 to 12800

In addition to turning on Expanded Sensitivity, you also need to be sure that Highlight Correction is turned Off. That's the tradeoff for ISO 100, but it's a good trade in most circumstances, IMHO.

I had played with the white blance and the green button settings and way too many other things, and I didn't know what to set things back to so that they worked properly again. resetting it was quick and painless.

Ah

I did read it a bit different. I thought that you meant that resetting messed everything up.
