Ok, but i mesured on the Vivitar 2800 153 volts !
About what others mesured on: Photo Strobe Trigger Voltages

On Cowboystudio web site it says:
"Other flash models with a trigger voltage of 12V or lower"
Yeah I probably wouldn't put that on my camera or the triggers...Not sure what your options are with that strobe other than forcing true manual flash mode on your camera.

When using high voltage old flashes and strobes, the best solution is to use a Wein Safe-Sync adapter that will drop the voltage to below 6V
you can check get it from BH here.

Cactus V5 can trigger those easily, it's rated up to 300 volt

I'm looking to get some cactus triggers to go with my K-R and Metz 50. However, I'm still confused a bit by all the modes and want to understand the advantages. Are these the main benefits of getting the cactus?

1. Better range/reliability vs K-r built in wireless mode.
2. Ability to set power manually on the Metz flash without needing to fire the onboard flash (my understanding this is because manual flash setting is available only via servo mode which uses the Metz optical sensor, which requires the Pentax onboard flash to fire).
3. Multi-channel mode (which does not iterest me too much yet).

Is there anything else here I'm missing? Any help is appreciated!

I think you got it.
Beside you can also trigger most if not all manual flashes and most studio flashes.

A huge thanks!

I also read something about only being able to get 1/4 power maximum (with Metz Servo mode) so I think I'm pretty much sold on the cactus v5s ... price is not too much in relation to flash, camera, lenses etc etc!!
