If anyone would be so kind to take a look of this video I made of my settings and my condition, I would appreciate any help.
What happens when you press the shutter release half way?

@lammie200 : already stated earlier, when I half press the status screen comes back on, as when I hit the info button to toggle it, after I take the next shot it goes dark again.
@crewl1 : the guide display and the status screen are two different screens.
Status screens show aperature, ISO, shutter speed.
The Guide screen shows what mode you are in and what settings you have for RAW format.

Thanks for trying guys, really stumped on this one.

Your video shows exactly how mine works. I guess I never gave it a second thought because my K-x and K-7 before this did the same .

If you half press the shutter after you take the pic and the display goes away, my display will come on again for approx 20 seconds.

BTW I prefer it to be off instead of on, so I usually use the info button to turn it off and instead use the top lcd or viewfinder bottom row data.

I apologize if this was covered in your video. I don't have a sound card on the machine that I am using right now so I can't tell exactly what you are doing. I also don't have my camera with me right now. However, I looked at the manual online.

Camera menu #5
Instant Review
1 sec, 3 sec, 5 sec, OFF
Try setting it to 5 seconds

Tools menu #1
Guide Display
3 sec, 10 sec, 30 sec, OFF
Try setting it to 30 seconds

Maybe not exactly what you want but worth a try if you haven't done so already.
