Dirty optical viewfinder

The view through the optical viewfinder in my K-r is very blurred. The internal focussing screen is fine. The dioptre adjustment is fine. The outermost surface ie closest to the eye is perfectly clean. However if I hold the camera away from me, facing towards the light, the inside surface of the outermost piece of glass looks as if it has got wet and as the fluid has evaporated, it has left a blotchy residue on the inner surface. I suspect that the fluid may have been sweat during recent travel in the humid tropics.

Can anyone advise me on how to access this outermost piece of the viewfinder. Access internally after taking out the focus screen doesn't help because the moving "lens/es" of the dioptre adjustment mechanism is/are in the way, and look to be clean.

Thanks.
