Transferring pictures to Picasa

Hello all,
When I transfer my pictures to the computer, can I transfer them to Picasa ? . ( I am using a Pentax K-r ).

On my computer Picasa leaps up as soon as the camera or card is connected, begging me to use it

A good 75% of my work can be managed by Picasa... comes from using good cameras that need little post-shot adjustment!
