+1 for RAW+. And on the flip side, in addition to @lister6520's comments, the only time I shoot strictly jpeg is when I am using the built-in HDR function ..... I don't think my K-r supported this, but the last time I did an HDR image with my K-30, I noticed for the first time a brief message offering to optionally save the 3 RAW files used to create the HDR image.
