K-r AF dead (sort of), need service manual of some sort..

Yeah, bad things happens. Via viewfinder it just won't focus, just gives the whirring "krrr..krrr..krrr" several times and the lens try to focus forward-inward until suddenly stopped like the focus is found, but it's not focus, no focus confirm beep, thus the shutter will not click. However, in live view the focus is fast, sharp, and spot on. No, it's not the lens, since I've tried several AF lenses and still the same thing. Now, I could probably live with only manual focus -this is just a backup camera after all- but there's no focus confirmation beeps even with manual focus (and so is with my manual focus lenses). This is too much, a dead AF module? Where is this module anyway? The thingy with glass below the mirror? So I'm thinking about taking it apart, hoping to find something 'out of tune', loose screw, snatched cable perhaps. But, K-r service manual is nowhere to be found. Pointers, anyone?

Yes, the AF module is behind the mirror, but you will probably have to take the whole camera apart to get it. And chances are that it's not easily fixable...

Yeah, complete teardown
I was thinking about converting this camera to IR, but hesitated.. probably this is the right time

So is this the module, the thing that sits inside an opening under the mirror? (or is it behind, since the way I see it, behind the 'bigger' mirror, there's a smaller one that seems to be reflecting light onto this thing?)

EDIT: That's the module.
