Yongnuo YN560iii triggers?

I feel like all I do on here is ask for help so apologies.

I have one YN560iii and I am looking for a set of cheap triggers. Reading up on problems with the rf-603 that they either don't work with pentax or are only good at 1/125.

Anyone had any experience with this ? Looking for something that will work upto the sync of 1/180?

The biggest issue with the RF-603 is all the misinformation that keeps getting repeated. I have several RF-603s and RF603IIs, and the Nikon version works with every Pentax body I've tried, AND works up to 1/180.

The Canon version of the original RF-603 does not work with Pentax because the hotshoe pins do not match the Pentax hotshoe; the trigger can not detect the camera and never goes into TX mode. Both versions of the RF-603II will work with a Pentax body when the power/mode switch on the trigger is set to TX.

The shutter speed issue was the RF-602. I've never seen a black band using RF-603s at 1/180.

So I'll be ok to get the 603 as long as its nikon?

Yep! I have a YN-560iii as well, and they work together fine.

You might see sellers listing N1, N2, or N3 sets - those indicate the shutter release cable that is bundled with a pair of 603N triggers. The K-r doesn't have a wired shutter release port, so don't worry about it and just get whatever is cheapest.
