thanks guys, I sure do hope so! btw the link to flickr I pasted at the bottom (a time lapse) made explore on flickr.......the second time lapse to do so....it is really neat and flattering when that occurs.......not sure if I will ever get a regular snap shot to make it hahaha........also if the K-r does work means it will wear the sears 28/2.8 and I will hafta get the bower 14/2.8 to put on the K-50......does the buying of stuff ever stop!?!?!?

So you're the one that outbid me! Congrats! I picked up one of the ones listed with the front focus issue. Got it today, and so far it is working like a charm. Even if the FF problem is a bad one, I'll mostly be shooting with manual lenses, so no biggie!

I scored on one as well, heck of a steal & better than seller thinks - I'm OK with that.
Edit - just used the shutter-counter on the site, 58 actuations. Nice.

Well I've found my first real issue with the $28 body; regardless of dial setting it's either Av or M (or movie). I haven't tried the scenes yet so I'll keep fiddling. I use Av and M 90 percent of the time so it's still an excellent deal on a working body with ~60 clicks.. and I can send it in to the new place if it's not something I can solve with very gentle inspection

What I really like is that it's the same size as the K-s1 give or take a few % (via camerasize.com) - yes the 20Mp and no AA are cool but this K-5 interface is familiar to me & the 12Mpx sensor is no slouch at all.

atleast it seems a minor problem.....I haven't had any yet.....I use various scene modes and manual....as I don't know how to use the others yet......although I would like to use the one that I can set a certain aperture and let it adjust shutter speed and use old primes(some have 'a' and some do not) for sunsets and other stuff I would like to time lapse where the session will have a steady exposures
