My M42 adapted K5 with the Super & SMC Takumar lenses usually used with the K5. Taken with K-r and SMC DA 35\2.4 AL.

The evening sun brings out the colorful sheen of the common grackle.
K-r with Tamron Adaptall- 2 model 65B 400mm f/4
I’d never tried to old K-r for birds until last night. The ME-O53 eyepiece magnifier made it surprisingly easy to focus. Compared to my KP, the shutter/mirror of the K-r sounds incredibly loud!

I’ve found the perfect niche for my K-r, m42 Takumar lenses!
Takumar, Auto Takumar, Super Takumar, Super Multi Coated Takumar or SMC Takumar, the K-r 12.4 MP sensor and color processes just “click” with old school glass. Many more photos in the Takumar Club and 200mm lens club.
