I decided to see how bad a picture would be with my $40.00 Promaster 2X TC and my 55-300 would be. And I decided to push the bad factor by using ISO3200 with the Kx and going handheld. Let's also go with JPEG to put the final nail in the coffin of a good picture. A bit of sharpness from Nik Software tools to highlight the noise..

OH..And this is cropped...

Oh well. I'll try again next time. ...

Well the bird looks pretty sharp from here

I've certainly made much worse shots with nothing infront of the lens!
