A Few Before Check-out
Lens: 18-55 Camera: K-x

Another series from my recent trip to Malibu, CA. I had a few minutes before check-out to walk around the hotel property and take some photos. I should have made a point to shoot in better light (these were all taken around high noon), but the trip was so short I didn't have the chance to do so. Nonetheless, here are a some snapshots I thought I'd share. Thanks for looking, as always.

Are there too many photos here? Let me know and I'll get rid of some if it's bogging things down.

Thanks for looking and commenting, mrcombs. #5 is probably my favorite from the series.

They're all good, but I really like #6. I love the composition of it.

I think your shot of the underside of the gazebo roof is the best shot of the bunch. It's the first and only I didn't just scroll past. That in my mind is what makes the best photo. One that makes you stop and look.

Thanks, Parallax. I debated with cropping out the "empty" space at the bottom of the photo, but felt it ruined the composition. Glad you liked it "as is."

Glad that one caught your eye and gave you pause, Jeff. While that is often a sign of a good photo, I can certainly recall photos that have caught my eye for all the wrong reasons
