3 months old baby + 25 years old lens = XTREME CUTENESS
Lens: A50mm f1.7 Camera: K100D Super ISO: 200 Shutter Speed: 1/180s
Posted By: ismaelg, 05-09-2010, 07:57 PM

Hi,

Getting some experience with my A50mm f1.7 Like any high performance machine it needs practice. I'm impressed with the sharpness at f5.6 and the overall performance of this lens. These images has NO sharpening done. In fact, only light cropping.

1/180 @ f5.6

1/180 @ f5.6

100% crop NO pp

Uncle Ismael, This lens is how old?!?!?!?!

1/180 @ f2.8

So it's a manual focus lens. So what?

Thanks,

Great takes, ismaelg

These 'old' lenses just won't admit their ages

Can't blame them though. In the correct hands, they really are rejuvenated

Thanks for shaing them

Nice pictures on the babes, ismaelg.

Who will believe that all these are taken with the "old faithful" A lens. In the hands of an expert, the result is simply spectacular.
Thank s for sharing.

Cheers.

"So it's manual focus. So what?"

So right!

One of the reason I go Pentax is all those old lenses stil circulating worldwide. Waiting to be utilized.

Cute baby, great takes... Bet you he (she?) is quite a handful now...

Great pics! Enjoy the manual focus while he is still relatively still :-) When our baby started crawling, he went into attack mode any time I pointed the camera at him. He's 14 months old now, and still does it. Most of the pics we take wind up being much lower in quality then the beautiful ones you have posted here.
