Baby Otie
Lens: Sigma 17-70 HSM-OS 2.8-4.0 Camera: K20d Photo Location: Texas ISO: 1600 Shutter Speed: 1/20s Aperture: F5

A new Squirrel...his dad is the famous Baby Otis. He has the same face, great full tail, and big feet.
I just got this lens a week ago and have been very impressed with the results so far. The range is perfect for many everyday uses, and the OS appears to beat the SR by at least a stop. The HSM is fast, quiet and highly accurate...I'd have to say the fastest to focus of any lens I have, and I have several good ones.
I also got the new Sigma HSM 10-20 3.5 and have been impressed with it also, but have not used it nearly as much so far.
Best Regards!

Spitting image of his Dad but needs to gain a little more confidence. Hi Rupert and thanks for posting this one, it is a nice picture. Unfortunately (depends on how one looks at it) we have no squirrels in the neighbourhood at all so I always have to rely on my travels to find a few.

Looks just like his dad and has the same come-hither glint in his eye.

Yes, it was a sloppy job, I admit, but I was in a hurry and was hoping viewers would be so overwhelmed by this handsome little fellow that they wouldn't notice!
Best Regards

Heinrich, he is indeed a spitting image of Baby Otis when he was a little tyke, and he has the exact same attitude. Just the other day I heard him tell another big fat older Squirrel "get out of my way or my dad will field dress you"!
Best Regards!

Great shot, Rupert - sharp and crystal clear. How are things in your part of Texas?
