These trees are delicately beautiful for a short time and after they leaf out you would never give them a 2nd look.

Can I join the the red-bud fan club? I find them hard to photograph, though. Your first is a nice treatment.

I'll quibble with your post-bloom remark though: I think it has a nice habit graceful shade in the heat of the summer and the iron black branches are beautiful in winter.
