City of Perth
Lens: M135 f/3.5 & M50 f/1.4 Camera: K200D Photo Location: Perth, Australia ISO: 100 Shutter Speed: >6s Aperture: F11

Hi,
I met up with a couple of the WA PF members last night, for a few shots of Perth city at night. We certainly had a great view and nice reflections to work with.
Both of these shots were done with 30 second shutter speeds. Feel free to let me know what you think (C&C or otherwise).

1. This is the City of Perth council building, visible with the bell tower in front. The building was very well lit up, and had the words "City of Perth" in lights scrolling across it every now and then

Great night shots of this gem of a city.
The pano is a silky smooth long exposure. Well done.

The water in pano looks like brushed metal. A nice effect.
P.S. I'd left a little more space above the buildings.

Thanks for the comment. I guess I was trying to place as much emphasis on the water reflection as possible. I can see where you're coming from and it's a fair point.

cheers,

Damn Perth is beautiful. Really want to check it out.

I love WA' ers so much more laid back than Victorians and NSW'ers. They even speak with slightly different accents than everyone else lol.

Great night shots, I assume these were taken after the Perth Wheel was dismantled.

Thanks mate, hope you are enjoying your travels.
Interesting that you make the comment about being laid back, Perth/WA people are meant to be, but really I don't see it :/
From my point of view, many 'eastern staters' have a particular twang to their speak

I had forgotten all about the wheel when taking these shots - but yes, they were taken after. Just last Thursday 13 May. cheers!

Yeah, that's exactly what I thought
Good thing about the city is that it doesn't change much, I'm sure there will be another time soon. Thanks for the comment

Yeah, that first one was a great shot. The combinations of the lights in the Bell Tower spire and on the Council Building are great. I was mesmorised by that on the night... sat there for ages getting a whole range of colour combos.

I tried doing some stitching with some of mine, but I'm new to all this fun stuff, and I tried stitching the full sized photos - it was taking forever. I've got to go back and have another crack at it (the processing), though I think I might just pop out to South Perth and get some fresh photos some time soon. Practice makes slightly less cruddy!

tootall is getting somewhat carried away with his extreme detail stitch-job! I believe the full-size version is several gigs large so far.

Hey Spoons thanks for the reply
I was also mesmorised by the lights on that building. tootall's pano sounds crazy! Enough resolution to cover an office wall perhaps.
