K-7 & A Soccer Match
Lens: 50-135 DA* Camera: K-7 Photo Location: Nile River, Egypt
Posted By: Christopher M.W.T, 05-14-2010, 02:10 PM

Whoever said Pentax isn't any good for sports? I used AF-C and Hi speed continuous shooting, the results speak for themselves the lens was the 50-135DA*

Something longer would be even better.

Complete album can be found here

I thought people would like to see that Pentax cameras can handle sports just fine, contrary to Canikon beliefs.

Great series. Pentax does sports well and you have proved it. Longer lens would have worked well, but I am sure you can crop in on the action of each of these shots
Looks like it was quite the match.

It was pretty ad-hoc just a spur of the moment thing lol.

Longest lens I got is the 50-135 at this point although I really want a Sigma 100-300 next

What you see there on flickr is pretty much every shot I took, I think I deleted only one or two that were crap, sharp focus and tracking was not an issue which was a major suprise for me.

A longer lens is a wish of mine. I use my 55-300 to shoot my sport shots. I move as close as I can get. the sidelines for football and soccer are best. You might have been able to move in the middle of play in this pick up game to get closer to the action
