Plane Spotting
Lens: Sigma 100-300 and DA 18-55 ALII Camera: K200D Photo Location: Gateway Bridge Brisbane ISO: 200
Posted By: TOUGEFC, 05-15-2010, 10:04 PM

Spent the morning at the second gateway bridge opening walk day. The weather was horrid, huge ugly grey cloud swamped the whole sky!
And did some plane spotting, all photo's taken with the sigma except one.

Nice! You might be interested in this social group; it has a large album of all kinds of plane photos (to which anyone is welcome to add, of course!): PentaxForums.com - Aviation!

Wow - these are wonderful. They show what a great photographer can find in poor weather. Super job.

Thank-you Sailor. I was very doubtful on how they would turn out in the poor weather, but was pleased with the results!

Nice shots, I like the last one the most. Which lens did you use? Was it the Sigma 100-300mm f4?

Thank you for you kind words
Actually no, it wasnt the f4, it was the Sigma 100-300mm f4.5-6.7 DL (which has a 6.33 out of 10 rating in the lens database) that was given to me many years ago!
Its doesnt do to well in the review but it can still turn out some sweet shots! I rarely use it and only used it then becasue it was my longest lens. The 3rd pic is the DA 18-55 AL II.
