Pre-crab apples

Really enjoy the focal length of the DA 35mm vs. the Tamron 90mm I had previously. Lots of depth of field to work with, even if you do have to get a bit intimate with the flower's naughty bits.

Your photo has me wondering what your point of focus is. Subject-wise and er.. well, focus-wise.

Focal point was the stamen of the lower left flower. Upon further review, I see your point - they aren't isolated so much as to stand out, and the remaining petals are somewhat in and out of of focus. Perhaps I moved forward a bit as I pressed the shutter-a few things behind the focus point are sharper than the stamen.

Thanks for pointing that out. I was pointed upward from eye level, tripod was too short. Lesson learned.
