Rochester Lilac Festifal
Lens: FA* 85mm/1.4 Camera: Pentax K-7 Photo Location: Rochester, NY
Posted By: Adam, 05-22-2010, 09:54 PM

Here are a few pictures from my Rochester Lilac Festival gallery that I took today. I was apparently a little late for this event, so I mostly ended up just taking street shots and closeups

All taken with the K-7 + FA* 85mm/1.4. This is my walkaround lens and most of my photos are taken with it.

Please no "holy shit this lens is amazing comments"! tongue

I grew up in Webster NY (suburb of Rochester). I still miss the smell of lilacs everywhere this time of year...

Nice shots and thanks for jogging the memory :-D

the lens is rubbish, you should send it to me. The 2nd last one "glowing edges" is beautiful, seriously. Great series and TYFS

Great colors! That lens does close-focus very well. I think if I had it, it would be my walk around also.
The last two ( glowing edges ), add to the series well.

Opps, I forgot to say " Holy Shit "

Holly sh*T this is hardly a walkabout lens for most But these flora shots are great!

But the glowing edges one is really novel (to me at least).

Thanks for all the comments! I guess it's safe to say that if all else fails, just use the neon glow edge filter

These look great to me. I have an A* 85/1.4 I've owned since it was new; these shots make me want to pull it off the shelf and play with it again.
